Rental terms

1. Deposit and return after pickup: we collect a refundable security deposit at checkout, set at $50 USD when the gear subtotal is $1,000 MXN or less; $150 USD when the gear subtotal is over $1,000 MXN; or $250 USD for any booking containing the Igloo wheeled cooler, regardless of subtotal. If you choose MXN, Stripe charges the current peso equivalent, and your bank's later USD conversion may not be an even dollar amount. After pickup, the charged deposit amount is returned to your original payment method if the equipment is returned without damage or theft beyond normal wear and tear. Damage or theft beyond normal wear and tear forfeits the deposit. A standard deposit return may take 2–3 days to appear in your account; cancellation refunds may take 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

2. Unattended equipment: please don't leave the equipment unattended beyond normal beach activity. If you need or want to leave the beach before your scheduled pickup time, contact us to arrange an early pickup. Early pickups require at least 45 minutes' advance notice.

3. Cancellation and deposit refunds: use the private link in your confirmation email to cancel before setup begins. At least 24 hours before your scheduled setup, the rental payment and 100% of the deposit are refunded. Less than 24 hours but more than 1 hour before setup (including 12 hours before), the rental payment and 50% of the deposit are refunded; we retain the other 50%. At 1 hour or less before setup, the rental payment is refunded but the entire deposit is forfeited. Online cancellation closes once setup begins. The only weather exception for a full refund within these windows is rain already falling before setup; a forecast alone does not qualify. Contact us for a weather cancellation so we can verify the rain and approve a full refund, including any deposit already retained. Cancellation refunds go back to the original payment method and usually appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
